why cant we have, for example, 1000 frames rendered normally with pv3d
and then mix some i-th to i+N-th frames together, instead of rendering
N frames every time? maybe that's not what you did, but it sounds like
that.

Andy Schultz (spelling ?) once did similar thing by creating a
"driver" for winxp that pretended to be a webcam, while it actually
was copying frames from swf; in particular, he was using it to push
sandy-based 3d apps output to red5 server. Since sandy isnt very
popular itself, his project was even less known to people.
